These terms and conditions apply every time you access or use www.campingninja.com and www.edinburghfestivalcamping.com (the “Website”) so please read them carefully.

By accessing, registering or using our Website, you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.  We may vary these terms and conditions at any time and such modifications will become effective immediately upon posting of the modified terms on the Website. By continuing to use the Website following any such variation, you will be deemed to have accepted such variation.


Booking Conditions

At least one member of the booked party must be 18 or or over at the date of stay. No groups of solely under 18’s will be permitted entry.

A camping pass for each adult and child ( aged 3 to 16) must be purchased in addition to any pre pitched tent hire purchased or Meadow (Premium) Pitch fee.  Pre Pitched Tent Hire does not include sleeping bags or pillows, this is available as an option to purchase for all campers.

This campsite has Standard Grass pitches , Pre Pitched Tent and Bell Tent Hire, and Meadow (Premium) Pitches for Trailer Tents, Caravans & Motorhomes.  Campers who purchase Standard Camping, Pre-Pitched Tent or Bell Tent hire are permitted to take a car onto their pitch to drop off or collect their kit.  After drop off or collection we ask that the cars are parked in the car park 30 metres from the entrance.

Only one car is permitted to park on a Meadow (Premium) pitch for trailer tents or caravans.  Additional cars must be parked in the car park.

The car park is outside of the campsite and is not patrolled. Cars are left at the owner’s risk.


Making a booking

When you make a booking through the Website you agree to pay the amount in full.

Where the Campsite Information is showing availability and you make a booking and pay the amount in full, a confirmation email setting out the details of your booking will be sent out. Please check your spam / junk mail if it is not in your Inbox.

Where Standard or Meadow (Premium) Pitches are purchased you may request a preference to camp in a family zone, performer zone or general camping zone.   We will do our best to ensure space within your preferred camping zone , however can not guarantee zones for Meadow (Premium) Pitches due to the available space on your arrival day.

Pre Pitched and Bell Tents are located within our Ninja Pre Pitched Village – there are no set zones within here, however we will do our best to locate families within one area.  You may request to stay next to friends/ family booked.

Bedding provided in the Bell Tents is one double air mattress with linen for up to 2 persons, plus single air mattresses with linen for up to 3 additional guests, and two double air mattresses and two single air mattresses for 6 guests. We can accommodate requests for single beds to be provided rather than a double bed, but this is subject to an additional linen charge of £15 per additional bed for the duration of your stay.

Sleeping Kit purchased is yours to keep, this can be donated to our Project Re-camp if you do not wish to keep it.

Blue Badge holders or mobility impaired persons will be allocated a pitch or standard pitch closest to facilities.  Mobility/ Special assistance requests should be made in advance  by e mailing efc@campingninja.com. Please note:  Pre Pitched Tents are located in one area and cannot be moved for mobility impaired customers.


Cancellation and Change Policy

After the amount has been paid, the following cancellation policy will apply for all Edinburgh Festival Camping bookings:

Any changes to a booking will be subject to a £10 admin fee. If a change is made and it has a lower value than the original booking amount, the difference will be subject to the cancellation fees below.


Cancellations – you will be refunded the following % of your total payment:

70% refund – £10 admin fee: up to 120 days before campsite opens.

50% refund – £10 admin fee: up to 60 days before campsite opens.

20% refund – £10 admin fee: up to 30 days before campsite opens.

0% refund: 30 days or less before campsite opens.

Christmas Gift 2017 Terms and Conditions for bookings made between 1st – 24th December 2017

Moneyback Guarantee

We guarantee a full refund for bookings made between 1st and 24th December when the booking is cancelled by 31st January 2018. Any cancellations made after this date will be subject to the same Cancellation Policy as standard bookings.

Complimentary Bottle of Prosecco

A complimentary 70cl bottle of Prosecco will be available upon arrival when the customer has spent £50 or more on accommodation. The customer must present the voucher provided to receive the complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Limit of one bottle per booking.

Change of Dates

Changing dates of stay are free of charge for bookings made between 1st and 24th December 2017 as long as they are still staying for the same amount of days as originally booked.

Gift Voucher

To receive the Gift Voucher in time for Christmas, bookings must be made by 12pm on 22nd December. We will try our best to send Gift Vouchers for any bookings made after this date.

Calls cost 7p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge. Car parking is included in the ticket price. No dogs (except assistance dogs). Participant Specific Terms and Conditions

Moneyback Guarantee

We guarantee moneyback for Participants where they have made a booking and there are circumstances which mean their show will not be in Edinburgh – e.g. your show is not selected by a venue. The principle behind this is so that you can secure the best rates whether you have your slot confirmed or not. There is also a time limit on this up until April 31st. After that Participants will be subject to the same cancellation policy as general bookings.


50% Deposit

Only available for Participant Bookings. The remainder is due by April 30th 2018.


Change of Dates

Changing dates of stay are free of charge for Participants as long as they are still staying for the same amount of days as originally booked.

Some camp site rules:

Wrist bands will be provided and secured to your wrist. These are not transferable. No entry without a valid wristband for an area will be permitted.

No entry to the site will be permitted prior to the initial check in time unless previously arranged.

Campers arriving after 10pm may need to self check in so may not be given full facility information. Late arrivals are asked to please pitch tents with respect and consideration to other campers. Assistance will not be available. Torches will be required.

No vehicles are permitted to enter the standard camping or pre pitched camping areas except to drop off or collect camping kit at the beginning or end of a stay.
The car park is designed for parking of cars, or a small van that fits into a standard size car parking space. Larger vehicles may not be permitted to be parked. Cars are left in the car park at the owner’s risk.
No sleeping in Vans or Cars in the car park is permitted.
Blue Badge holders who have not purchased a Meadow (Premium) pitch will have a designated parking area. You are requested to inform us if you are a  blue badge holder for a space to be reserved for you.
Pitch spaces are not allocated, and so are available on a first come, first served basis. We cannot guarantee you are able to save a pitch for others to join you pitching later.
Meadow (Premium) Pitches are 8m by 8m. Awnings, Gazebos & Pup Tents are  permitted however all of what you bring and erect must be able to fit into your pitch size. Should you require a larger space you would need to purchase 2 Meadow pitches. If you arrive back to the campsite in your car after the gates are shut at 10.30pm, you may have to leave your car in the car park overnight.  Standard Camping pitches are not set sizes or allocated spaces, however we do request you to pitch your tents with consideration of others and leave a gap of 1 metre between tents. Please do not take up more space than you need. If we do consider you are taking up more space than you  reasonably need for your group, or pitch in an area  you should not be in we will ask you to re-pitch your tent.
Designated Family areas and general camper areas are set up in standard camping – you are requested not to camp in the family area if you do not have children with you and you may be requested to move your tent.
No dogs or pet animals of any description are permitted.
No illegal substances are permitted to be brought into the camp site – you may be searched and may be arrested should these be found.
No Glass bottles are to be brought onto site – we do have children running around and campers are asked to respect that broken glass is a danger to both children and others.
Generators are not permitted to be brought onto the site.
You are requested to respect your neighbours whilst camping with us. Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated and in the event of antisocial behaviour you will be removed from site without refund.
We have a quiet policy after 11pm which you are requested to take note of.
Please ensure your party knows where the first aid point/lost child point is and how to request help ( contact a steward).
To keep yourself and all campers safe, No Open Fires, Disposable BBQ’s or Fireworks are permitted on site. Please ensure your party all know where the fire point is.
Please respect the fire safety rules.
In the event of needing emergency medical assistance, or any help at any time please contact any steward, or security staff who are able to radio colleagues for assistance.
Campers are requested to leave the site by the check out time given.
Should a camper not respect and adhere to campsite rules we reserve the right to evict a camper/campers without refund.

Use of your information

Please look at our Privacy Policy (www.campingninja.com/privacy), which sets out how we may use information provided by or collected from you when accessing or using the Website to ensure you understand our practices.

Your responsibilities

Insurance and health – we recommend that you have appropriate and adequate travel insurance and health documentation in place at the time of booking and take the necessary documentation with you.

Special requests – please notify the Campingninja directly of any special requirements.  We cannot guarantee that such requests can be met and have no liability to you in respect of them.

Appropriate behaviour – you are solely responsible for any loss or damage caused by you or a member of your party.  In the event that a Campsite land owner or other supplier brings any claim against us or otherwise seeks to recover any loss or damage resulting from your actions from us, you will be responsible for meeting such claims.

Respectful behaviour – you are expected to act and speak in a respectful manner towards our staff and guests, as we will treat you with respect. Shouting at staff is not acceptable, and complaints will not be heard until guests are able to act and speak appropriately with staff.

If you or any member(s) of your party are in breach of any of these terms and conditions, infringe the rights of any third parties or contravene any applicable law or regulation we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund or compensation.  We shall not be liable for any loss, damage or expense resulting from your incorrect, incomplete or missing documentation or not compliance with official requirements.

Our Role

We create and operate campsite/s in Edinburgh during the month of August.  The campsites we operate can be found on the website www.edinburghfestivalcamping.com.

When you use the Website you acknowledge that the information may have inaccuracies.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of your access to/use of information provided by Campingninja.  You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy or completeness of any information accessed via the Website.

When you make a booking, your contract for the pitch or other facilities/services will be with Campingninja.

You accept that we have not in any way selected or assembled your travel arrangements for you.  Your accommodation arrangements are not a package and do not fall within the meaning of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992 nor the Civil Aviation (Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing) Regulations 1995.


In the event that Camping Ninja has any liability to you in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise in relation to your use of the Website or otherwise, it is limited to the amount of the deposit paid to us only.

We exclude all liability of any kind in respect of any failure to do what we have promised because of something beyond our reasonable control such as technical failure, lightning, flood, exceptionally severe weather, fire or explosion, civil disorder, war, military operations, industrial disputes of any kind (including those involving our employees), natural or local emergency, anything done by government or other competent authority.

We do not accept liability either in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for direct or indirect loss of profits, income, business or anticipated savings, nor for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including, without limitation, loss or destruction of data, or other information.

We do not accept liability either in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any loss, damage or theft of any personal belongings, equipment or possessions. Anything left at the campsite is left at the owner’s risk.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to exclude or limit the liability of Camping Ninja for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Each provision of these terms and conditions excluding or limiting liability operates separately. If any part is held by a court to be unreasonable or inapplicable, the other parts shall continue to apply.

Your use of the Website

We may suspend or restrict access to the whole or any part of the Website for operational reasons at any time.

We reserve the right to monitor your use of the Website in order to maintain the Website and to protect the rights of content owners and other users of the Website

You must not use the Website or any information contained on it:

for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offence or other unlawful activity;

to send, receive, upload, download, use or reuse any material that is illegal, offensive, abusive, malicious, threatening, racist, indecent, defamatory, derogatory, obscene, menacing, or otherwise objectionable;

Where you create, upload or publish any content (including without limitation any user review or rating) on the Website, you are responsible for the creation, maintenance and design of all such material. In particular, you warrant that:

all contributions will be civil, tasteful and otherwise in accordance with the requirements of these terms and conditions;

the information in your possession and provided by you will not constitute a criminal offence or be otherwise unlawful;

all necessary licences and consents (including those from owners of copyrights or performing rights) have been obtained to upload or publish the materials on the Website.

You accept that we are under no obligation to edit, review or modify any content provided by you or any third party and that we do not examine the use to which the Website is put, unless expressly stated otherwise. The contract created by your acceptance of these terms and conditions is governed by English law and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

In these terms and conditions, any reference to “we” “us”, “our” or “Camping Ninja” refers to Camping Ninja Limited (registered company number 07042030) and any reference to “you” or “your” refers to you, the user of the Website (including any person who we reasonably believe is acting with your authority or knowledge). References to “Campsite(s)” means a campsite and/or other services/facilities listed on the Website.
