The Edinburgh Fringe attracts performers from around the world

The first shows have been released!

The countdown to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018 has officially begun! The first shows have been released and they are available for browsing on the Edinburgh Fringe website.

While we started our countdown for the Edinburgh International Festival back in November, just days before the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo went on sale on 1st December, we have been patiently waiting for the first Fringe 2018 shows to be announced. Further shows for the Fringe will be announced monthly until the full programme is released on 6th June. And yes, for those of you who can’t wait, you can pre-order your Fringe 2018 Programme now.

Edinburgh International Festival

The Edinburgh International Festival programme will be announced on 14th March, and until then we’ll be keeping a keen eye on them for any further updates. The show they announced in November is Midsummer, David Greig and Gordon McIntyre’s musical comedy about a couple of thirty-somethings getting into a great deal of mischief and misunderstandings, along with a hangover from hell.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has proudly hosted sold-out shows for the last 19 years and we’ve no doubt this year will be the same. The Tattoo started in 1950, and annually about 220,000 people attend the Tattoo while 100 million see it broadcast on TV worldwide. The Tattoo went on sale on 1st December, and with it’s track record, we highly recommend you book early to avoid disappointment and to get the best seats!
