Getting to the Festival Fringe

How to get from Edinburgh Festival Camping to the Festival Fringe

There will be over 200 venues located around the city of Edinburgh so it’s impossible to direct you to them all! Edinburgh is a compact city so most venues can be walked to from one and other. There will be Venue maps published by The Fringe Society near the time available from the box office.

By Tram: 30 min

You can take Edinburgh’s tramline – direct from Ingliston Park & Ride (if driving from EFC), or from the airport stop ( if walking from EFC),  to York Place via Princes Street and St Andrew Square. There are various ticketing options which work across both tram and bus. Timetable information can be found at Transport for Edinburgh, and also on the The Transport for Edinburgh smartphone travel app. It takes only around 30 mins to get into the centre. Trams run from 6.15am heading into the city, with the last tram returning from the city at 11.30pm..

Trams Run every 8 – 10 minutes Monday to Saturday & every 12 – 15 minutes on a Sunday.
