In 2015 we launched our Volunteer Scheme at Edinburgh Festival Camping which has proven to be a great success. It works really simply: a volunteer comes and stays with us for free in exchange for 3 hours work a day.
When you volunteer with us you become part of the team and also have the opportunity to learn some new skills, have a go at some different types of jobs and also to have fun with it. You also only have to work for 3 hours a day so you’ll have the remaining 21 hours to take in Edinburgh and all of the Festivals.
We have a number of 2016 (and 2015!) volunteers returning this summer so we must be doing something right!
Still interested? Then read below for more details and apply today.
We are recruiting a selection of volunteers who are available either for all or some of the event to help with the following duties:
We require volunteers to work over our peak times on the campsite during check out from 7am-11am, cleaning shifts from 10.30am and on check in from 2pm, with occasional additional cover at other times. The earliest shift will start at breakfast from 7am, and the latest shift available being at 9pm in our Entertainment Tent. Volunteers will be expected to carry out one 3 hour shift per day and ideally we need at least two volunteers working at peak times.
We require volunteers from the 30th July until the 30th August 2017.
Group inductions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and information packs will be sent out via email before you arrive.
We request to anyone who would like to volunteer for 5 days, that they please arrive on a Thursday.

When you sign up you will receive an email with further information.
We are currently reviewing applications and we will be confirming positions once we’ve been in touch with you. We will review all applications throughout the year and if you are successful we will offer you a Volunteer’s position. If you do not let us know that you would like to accept the position, it may be allocated to another applicant.
