In 2015 we launched our Volunteer Scheme at Edinburgh Festival Camping which has proven to be a great success. It works really simply: a volunteer comes and stays with us for free in exchange for 4 hours work a day.
When you volunteer with us you become part of the team and also have the opportunity to learn some new skills, have a go at some different types of jobs and also to have fun with it. You also only have to work for 4 hours a day so you’ll have the remaining 20 hours to take in Edinburgh and all of the Festivals.
We have a number of veteran volunteers who have stayed with us for two or three years, so we must be doing something right!

Volunteers help make up the face of our campsite, providing friendly service, looking after our guests and helping maintain our site. Volunteers can stay with us from 7 days to the whole event, and we will need help from starting set up on 29th July to close on 29th August.
There are two volunteer teams: Front of House and Housekeeping. All volunteers will chip in with setting up and taking down if they are here, these times are really fun – and a great chance to get to know each other. We all together work as a team to create our home for the next month.
Tasks will include:
Volunteers will be sent information prior to their arrival, which they must read over. We pride ourselves on providing fantastic service, so it is essential that our volunteers have the knowledge and understanding that it is up to us to ensure our guests have a brilliant stay.
Further training will be provided on site, and a high level of English is required to work within the Front of House team.
When you sign up you will receive an email with further information. Please get in touch if you do not receive this, and check your Junk Email folder in case it gets mistaken for spam!
If you have applied to arrive within the next few days, please email Coco at email@example.com. Applications are being reviewed and we will only confirm positions once we’ve been in contact with you. Training material will be sent out via email, so it’s really important that you receive the email from us after you submit your application!
If you do not let us know that you would like to accept the position, it may be allocated to another applicant.
We look forward to hearing from you!
