We ♡ bell tents

This year was the 2nd year the Campingninja team brought their Bell Tents to Edinburgh Festival Camping, and we love them! Well spaced apart, guests won’t feel like they’re camping on top of each other. Paths are lit with solar lights to guide you to your door.  Suited for families, groups or friends and couples, they are comfortable, spacious, and they just feel… special.

Zipping yourself in the evening, the Bell Tent is lit by fairy lights, and waiting for you are cosy duvets and blankets to snuggle up in. There is definitely that air of nolstagia about them, recalling memories of sleepovers as kids, bundling people under duvets, and chatting away over midnight snacks… replace the snacks with midnight wine and you’re onto a winner! If there was ever a reason to reminisce, these Bell Tents will definitely bring back those good old days.

For groups of friends looking for budget accommodation, look no further. Why spend £35 a night to share a 12 bed dorm in Edinburgh with strangers, when you could have your own room between you? Bring some burgers and have a barbie, or crack out some beers and relax in the camping chairs provided for you. There’s public transport 24 hours a day both in and out of the city, so if you want to have a night out, go for it. We won’t glare at you for turning on the light at 3am.

They’re a great option for families. They’re spacious – 5 metres wide, making each bell tent 19.63 metre square. There’s space for the pram, bikes, toys. There’s space for parents to have their own double air bed, and for the kids to have their own single air beds, complete with thick duvets and blankets. With our Giant Tipi offering hot chocolates, and lit with huge strings of fairy lights beside our official Fringe Venue, it definitely feels quite magical, particularly when we have a magician performing amazing close up magic tricks! The price for children under 16 is only £5.50 per night, and under 3’s are free, so for the space and comfort you require, this could be your perfect option.

Bed linen is included. Towels are available to hire. Edinburgh Festival Camping has a camp kitchen, there’s no need to bring cooking stoves with you, or pots and pans. They are available for our guests to share, in our large undercover kitchen, positioned with picnic benches all around and plenty of space for the kids to run around or have a game of football… we keep our bat ‘n’ ball games well stocked in our Ninja Play Boxes. We have a cafe, with real barista coffee, muffins, bacon sandwiches, and we have a Fringe venue, so if you decide to have a ‘quiet one’, you can sit with a glass of wine and watch Fringe performers in your pajamas…

I mean, really, does it get better than that?
