Something For The Weekend are recruiting flyerers!
Are you looking for a job at the Edinburgh Fringe this year? What about one that gets you free tickets to shows?
Something for the Weekend presents theatre and comedy at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in London and around the UK and also overseas. Their portfolio of productions and promotions past and present includes the 2016 Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, 2018 Olivier nominated The B*easts plus The Missing Hancocks, The Trial of Jane Fonda, The Man on the Moor, Cirkopolis and many, many more!
This year Something For The Weekend are presenting 10 shows in Edinburgh – musicals, circus, comedy, drama, new writing, the lot! – and they are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, conscientious and reliable people who really love the arts to be a part of their flyering team.
The flyering team are a key element of all of our shows’ marketing campaigns and every year we look to put together a dynamic group of people who are keen to work hard and play hard, and to take on the challenge of driving audiences for all of our productions.
We’ll need you to be Edinburgh based, or able to arrange your own accommodation as this will not be provided. The Festival runs from 1st – 27th August and we are looking for people who can join us in Edinburgh from 30th July and be available to work the full run.
Ideally you will have either been to or worked at the Edinburgh Fringe before and/or already have some form of sales or customer service experience; you will also be polite, charming, confident, outgoing and happy to talk to the general public!
For the right candidates this is a great chance to see behind the scenes of the Festival, to meet people, gain an insight into the arts industry which could help with future career plans, as well as experience the Festival. You will also receive venue passes which will give you the opportunity to see shows for free in your spare time.
