Internationally renowned, with  performers from over 48 countries , the Royal Military Tattoo Festival brings hundreds of thousands of visitors to Edinburgh from around the world each year for this annual celebration of Music and entertainment . Annually, over 200,000 people attend the show, with screenings to a further 100 million on televisions across the world.

The Tattoo runs every weekday evening and twice on Saturdays throughout the August Festivals.  New themes happen each year; in 2018, Scotland celebrated the Year of Young People and the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force with ‘The Sky’s the Limit’, exploring humankind’s greatest accomplishments. In 2019, ‘Splash of  Tartan’ celebrated the history, heritage and colour of Scotland’s global family both near and far. 2020 was ‘The Platinum Edition’, which we believe will be carried forward to 2022.

Saturday Evening shows include an extended fireworks display. Whatever day you plan to go, tickets should be bought well in advance to avoid disappointment – they sell like very hot hot cakes!

Prices start from £25 for standard tickets.  All ages will thoroughly enjoy the Tattoo experience.  A spectacular family day out not to be missed this Summer.
